How to Make Ginger Turmeric Carrot Juice
Making this juice is simple—just juice fresh turmeric, ginger, and carrots, then mix in black pepper and honey for added health benefits and a sweet balance. If you don’t have a juicer, you can use a blender with water or orange juice and strain the pulp using a cheesecloth. Ingredients Needed for This Ginger Turmeric Carrot Juice

Fresh Turmeric (100 grams)
This is the key ingredient, providing a deep golden color and a rich, earthy flavor. It’s often called “yellow ginger” because of its resemblance to ginger but with a bright yellow interior. Fresh is always best, but if you can’t find it, you can use powdered turmeric.
Fresh Ginger (25 grams)
Ginger adds a bold, spicy kick to the shots. It’s known for its digestive and anti-inflammatory properties, making this juice extra beneficial.
Carrots (2 large, about 515 grams)
Carrots add natural sweetness to balance the strong flavors of ginger and turmeric. They are rich in beta-carotene, which is great for skin and eye health. The carrot is also essential for this recipe to create enough liquid as the ginger and turmeric alone do not produce enough liquid to consume as a juice shot. It also is required to be able to tolerate the spicy burn!
Black Pepper (¾ tsp)
A small but crucial ingredient! Black pepper enhances the absorption of curcumin, the active compound in turmeric, making the juice even more effective.
Honey (3 tsp)
A touch of honey balances out the spice and adds a hint of natural sweetness. You can substitute it with maple syrup for a fully plant-based option.

Tips and Tricks for Perfecting Your Juice
- Use fresh turmeric if possible. Powdered turmeric works, but fresh gives the best flavor and benefits.
- Be careful with stains! Turmeric stains everything—your hands, countertops, and blender. Wipe spills immediately!
- Mix well before drinking. The ingredients naturally separate, so give it a good shake before taking your shot.
- Use a glass container. Plastic can absorb the strong color of turmeric over time. Plus, using glass containers over plastic is better for your health anyway!
