Durian Ice Cream

How to make easy and healthy durian ice cream at home with just 3 ingredients. This can be made dairy free and can also be made with no churn / no ice cream maker needed.

Equipment

  • 1 ice cream maker or ninja cream refer to blog notes for no churn method, using just a food processor or blender instead
  • 1 Blender

Ingredients

  • 4-5 durian seeds
  • 400 ml heavy whipping cream use coconut whipping cream for dairy free
  • cup condensed milk use oat condensed milk for dairy free

Instructions

  • Remove the seeds from the durian flesh.
  • Add the durian, whipping cream, and condensed milk to a blender. Blend smooth. The mixture should be fluffy and creamy. Do not over blend or over whip the mixture. I find that 15 seconds using a high speed blender is enough.
  • If using an ice cream maker, pour the mixture into the ice cream maker and turn on.
  • If using a ninja creami, pour the mixture into a creami cup and freeze over night, ready to be whipped on the low fat ice cream setting the next day
  • If using a food processor or blender, pour the mixture into an ice tray and freeze over night. When ready to be served, blend the frozen cubes in a blender or food processor. Stop / starting to scrape and mix as necessary.
