Jackfruit Sorbet

An easy and healthy jackfruit sorbet recipe that is made with just jackfruit, banana, and lime juice. No ice-cream maker is needed either!

Equipment

  • 1 Blender or food processor or both

Ingredients

  • 250 grams ripe jackfruit flesh seeds removed, this is approx 385 grams with the seeds
  • 1 banana
  • 3 juice of, limes seeds removed

Instructions

  • Peel the banana, juice the limes, and remove the seeds and hard seed shell from the ripe jackfruit.

  • Add all ingredients to a blender or food processor and blend smooth.

  • Pour into a container (shape doesnt matter), cover and freeze for at least 4 hours.

  • Remove from the freezer and let it defrost for approximately 20 minutes. Using a spoon, smash the sorbet and then mix. You can also use a food processor to do this. If using a food processor, don't wait 20 minutes, blend it immediately.

  • Use an ice-cream scoop to serve the sorbet in bowls. The ice-cream scoop will compress the sorbet and create perfect ice-cream scoop shapes.
