Ingredients

  • 6 grams matcha powder ceremonial grade
  • 50 ml milk any milk of choice, I prefer to use oat milk
  • 1 cup milk any milk of choice, I prefer to use oat milk
  • 200 grams strawberries fresh or frozen
  • ½ cup water
  • 1-2 tablespoon monk fruit sweetener optional, refer to blog notes

Instructions

Prepare the Strawberry Puree

  • Wash and slice the strawberries, removing the stems.
  • Add strawberries, monk fruit sweetener, and water to a pot and bring it to a boil.
  • Lower to a simmer and cook for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. The mixture will thicken into a puree.

Whisk The Matcha

  • Add matcha powder and 50ml milk to a small bowl.
  • Use an electric whisk or traditional matcha whisk to blend until frothy and smooth.

Assemble The Latte

  • Spread some strawberry puree along the inside of a tall glass.
  • Add ice, followed by the remaining milk.
  • Pour the whisked matcha over the top, allowing the layers to form.
  • Stir before drinking and enjoy!
