Equipment

  • 1 Blender

Ingredients

  • ¼ whole watermelon
  • 1 teaspoon Celtic sea salt
  • 2 tablespoon maple syrup or agave syrup, increase / decrease amount as per preferred sweetness

Instructions

  • Start by removing the skin of the watermelon and cutting it into small chunks.

  • Add the fresh watermelon flesh, Celtic sea salt, and maple syrup (or agave) into a blender. Blend the mixture until it becomes smooth and well-combined. If you aren't using a seedless watermelon, you can strain the mixture through a sieve before proceeding to the next step. I prefer to use a seedless watermelon to keep the watermelon pulp in the recipe.
    blending watermelon juice
  • Pour the blended watermelon mixture into the ice pop molds, leaving a small gap at the top to allow for expansion during freezing.

  • Insert the sticks before freezing. Freeze for at least 4 hours or until completely solid
  • Once frozen, remove the ice pops from the molds by running them under warm water for a few seconds.
