Ingredients
- 3 ripe mangoes (or approximately 4 cups of frozen mango chunks)
Instructions
- Prepare the Mangoes:
- Peel and dice them into small chunks.
- Spread the mango pieces on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, ensuring they don't touch each other.
- Place the tray in the freezer for at least 4 hours or until the mango chunks are fully frozen.
- Blend into Sorbet:
- Transfer the frozen mango chunks into a high-speed blender or food processor.
- Blend until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as necessary. If the mixture is too thick, let it sit for a couple of minutes to soften slightly before blending again.
- At first, the blended mango will look crumbly rather than smooth. This is completely normal! Keep blending and occasionally scraping down the sides of the blender. Once you scoop the mixture, the texture transforms into a creamy sorbet consistency.
- Serve Immediately
- Enjoy the mango sorbet immediately for a soft-serve consistency.

Mango Sorbet Ninja Creami Method
You can also easily make this recipe in your ninja creami. All you need to do is blend the fresh mango into a puree and pour into the ninja creami container. Freeze overnight. Once it is frozen, let it sit on the counter to melt a little bit (about 20 minutes) and then blend on the sorbet setting. Re spin if needed. By following this method you won't need to add any further liquid or other ingredients, just mango!
Tips
- Use Sweet Mangoes: Make sure that the mangoes are sweet, fresh and delicious! Because we aren't adding any sugar, we are totally reliant on the mangoes sweetness.
- Blender Tips: A powerful blender or food processor works best. If the blades struggle, let the mango thaw slightly or add a splash of water or coconut milk to facilitate blending.
- Texture Tip: Don’t worry if your sorbet looks crumbly after blending! The moment you scoop it, the mixture will turn creamy and smooth.
- Flavor Variations: While the pure mango flavor is delightful, you can experiment by adding a squeeze of lime juice for tanginess or a touch of honey or maple syrup for added sweetness.
Serving Suggestions
- Garnish: Enhance the presentation with fresh mint leaves or a sprinkle of chili powder for a spicy kick.
- Pairings: Serve alongside coconut flakes, fresh berries, or a drizzle of raspberry sauce for a gourmet touch.
