It is actually Malaysia's national fruit, which means I have access to the best papayas in the world and I love experimenting with this fruit! Some of my favorite ways to enjoy papaya include:
- In a smoothie! Such as this banana papaya smoothie
- Baked papaya as a dessert
- As a simple papaya pudding with just 2 ingredients
- As a chocolate mousse cake with this 2 ingredient papaya no bake cake recipe
- As a raw vegan papaya cheesecake cheesecake
- As real fruit rollups

Why You'll Love This Recipe
Papaya's are extremely good for your health
Not only is papaya a delicious tropical fruit, but it is also a nutritional powerhouse. Rich in vitamin C, fibre, and folate, papayas have been associated with numerous health benefits, including improved digestion, stronger immune system, and healthier skin.
Improved digestion and papaya is good for people who suffer from acid reflux
I personally love to have papaya for improved digestion. I find it's an excellent way to keep things regular (if you know what I mean!). Another reason why I love papaya is because it is a less acidic fruit. For me I find it calming for my stomach and it helps greatly with any acid reflux symptoms.
Simple and tasty recipe
Not only is this papaya smoothie recipe incredibly easy to make, but it is also super creamy and delicious! All you need are a few basic ingredients, a blender, and a few minutes to spare. The texture of blended papaya is silky smooth and combined with a sweetener like maple syrup or condensed milk makes an irresistibly tasty smoothie that will keep you feeling satisfied and nourished.

Ingredients
The ingredients that you will need to make this simple and nutritious papaya smoothie recipe are as follows:
Ripe Papaya
1 small papaya (seeds extracted and skin peeled). This is about 250 grams with the skin and seeds removed or 2 cups diced.
Sweetener
1-2 tablespoon of a sweetener of your choice. I like to use a dairy free condensed milk or maple syrup.
Plant Milk
1 cup of plant milk. I like to use a less overpowering type of milk like an almond milk or cashew nut milk. You can also use a sweetened almond milk or nut milk because it will compliment the papaya flavour. Coconut milk also tastes great with this recipe and adds a delicious tropical flavour.
To make the papaya smoothie
Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth! I also like to add 1 cup of ice or use frozen papaya instead.

Let's blend!

I tried this with fresh papaya, oat milk, maple syrup and some ice and it was so good! I was surprised how creamy it was. Usually I don’t like papaya but adding maple syrup made it really yummy 😋
