My Favourite Vegan Protein Powder Smoothies (Healthy Smoothie Recipes)
The next 4 smoothie recipes are my favourite protein powder smoothies.
I love to add protein powder to all of my smoothies. If you prefer to not add any protein powder then I suggest you add 1 scoop of oatmeal or 1 tablespoon of chia seeds / flaxseeds instead. The protein content won't be the same, but at least you're adding some calories to the smoothie to keep you going!
Smoothie #5: Vanilla Mango Protein Smoothie
Mango is the perfect fruit for a smoothie. It's sweet, easy to freeze, and makes any smoothie or smoothie bowl ultra creamy. Many of the smoothies on this list feature mango as the primary fruit, and for good reason!
Mango is ultra cheap here in Malaysia. I can buy 4 large mangoes for about RM 10 (which is approx US $2.40). Thus you're going to see a lot of mango based smoothies featured in this post!
The key to making this vanilla mango protein smoothie amazing, is choosing the right protein powder. I've found the BEST vegan vanilla protein powder and the combination with the ingredients in this smoothie is so damn tasty! Make sure to find your favourite too!
Ingredients for a vanilla mango protein smoothie (1 serving):
- 💚 ¾ cups of mango
- 💚 1 cup of water

This protein mango smoothie combines the most delicious fruit on the planet and protein powder. To make this smoothie a hit, it's important to use a high quality sweet mango. Low Calories Smoothie Recipes
The next few healthy smoothie recipes are my go to healthy weight loss smoothie recipes. All of my low calorie smoothies are some form of a mixed berry smoothie. This is because berries are low in calories, but high in volume, making them the perfect low calorie weight loss breakfast smoothie.
For all these weight loss fruit smoothie recipes, I recommend using frozen berries. This is because frozen berry smoothie recipes don't require any additional ice to be added, meaning the full sweetness or tartness of the berry flavour is utilised.
Smoothie #9 Low Calorie Berry Smoothie
A mixed berry smoothie made with blueberries, raspberries, and strawberries. The size of a normal smoothie, but extra low in calories thanks to the berries!
Ingredients for a low calorie berry smoothie (1 serving):
- 💜 ½ cup of blueberries
- 💜 ½ cup of raspberries
- 💜 ½ cup of strawberries
- 💜 1 cup of almond milk
- 💜 1 tablespoon of chia seeds
Calories in a low calories berry smoothie
Without Protein Powder: 188 Calories | 31g Carbs | 6g Protein | 7g Fat
Note: I don't add protein powder to berry only smoothies. This is because I use pure pea unflavoured protein powder which can taste bitter without something like banana or mango to mask the flavour. If you want to add protein powder to this smoothie make its a tasty flavoured protein powder because the berries won't mask the flavour of pure pea protein powder.
Smoothie #10 Banana Blueberry Kiwi Smoothie
A banana, blueberry and kiwi smoothie made with several other ingredients too. This one is a bit more complicated than the other smoothies on this list, with some special ingredients like maca powder. If you are willing to source these ingredients then its certainly worth a try!
Ingredients for a banana, blueberry and kiwi smoothie (1 serving):
- 💜 1 small frozen banana
- 💜 ½ frozen kiwi fruit
- 💜 ½ cup frozen blueberries
- 💜 1 tbsp chia seeds
- 💜 1 tablespoon of Maca powder
- 💜 1 cup frozen kale or spinach
- 💜 1-1½ cups of unsweetened almond milk
- 💜 ½ cup coconut water
- 💜 1 scoop of pea protein 30 grams per scoop

Without Protein Powder: 274 Calories | 50g Carbs | 8g Protein | 6g Fat
Smoothie #11 Banana Strawberry Smoothie
The last smoothie on this list low calories list, is the low calorie smoothie recipe strawberry banana. A strawberry banana smoothie is always a winner.
There is only 354 calories in a banana strawberry smoothie, and only 241 calories if you choose to omit the rolled oats. If you want to make a banana strawberry smoothie healthy, then go ahead and add a handful of spinach or kale too.
Ingredients in a low calorie banana strawberry smoothie (1 serving):
- ❤️ 2 cups of strawberry
- ❤️ 1 banana
- ❤️ ⅓ cup of rolled oats
- ❤️ 1 cup of almond milk
Calories in a banana strawberry smoothie
354 Calories | 72g Carbs | 8g Protein | 6g Fat
This smoothie has no protein powder. If you want to add protein powder and keep it low calories, you could swap the rolled oats for protein powder.
